I was just wondering if the following would have any compatibility issues:

Pseudotropheus saulosi
-> Looking like females (some of them with somewhat brown barring?)
Metriaclima estherae
-> Looks like 2 males (Red variant), all others are females (1 cherry red, 1 minos reef)
Metriaclima callainos
-> for sure, larger ones are females
Melanochromis parallelus
-> supposedly one male in the group
Gephyrochromis lawsi
-> seems to demonstrate spawning behaviour, with one of them shaking in front of another fish, and they are only 1-1.5" in length.
Labidochromis hybrid
-> I'm not sure what, looks like an Electric Yellow, without the black bar on the dorsal fin

I haven't seen any M. parallelus and G. lawsi here. Would it be safe to assume that they are somewhat uncommon here?

Thank you in advance.

Tank Size: 90G
Dimension: 48"Lx24"Wx18"H
Filtration: 2 x Fluval 404

Inhabitants: 5 Gephyrochromis lawsi, 5 Pseudotropheus saulosi, 5 Metriaclima callainos, 1 Labidochromis hybrid of some sort, 1 OB Red Zebra, 4 Melanochromis parallelus, 7 Red Zebra (1 'Minos Reef' Female, 1 Cherry Red Female, 3 Red Females, 2 Red Males)...

Setup: Many caves, some egg crate dividers so that the smaller fishes are able to get to safety... (although the larger ones just found a way to get to the other side).

Sizes: 4 of the 7 Estherae, 2 Callainos, Labidochromis and OB are pretty much the only large ones (3-4"), while the other fishes that aren't included (saulosi, lawsi, parallelus, 3 of the 7 estherae, 3 callainos) are less than 2.0".

Parameters: 0 ppm NH3 (Ammonia), 0 ppm NO2+ (Nitrite), 15 ppm NO3- (Nitrate), pH 7.6

Should be fine. The only problem I see is the Callainos and Red Zebra cross breeding. Also watch out for male dominance.

It seems like the male M. estherae are leaving the callainos alone. The M. estherae have already spawned a couple of times now.

I assume that the two larger callainos are females. That might be the reason for non-aggressive behaviour towards the callainos. I was hoping in getting at least one male in the last purchase of M. callainos.

Hopefully, they will leave them alone. If not, then I might have to remove one of the two Metriaclima species.

Thank you, tarheels910.
