I have an Eclipse hood with two lamps. I have two problems with this setup. One is that the tank stays too warm (80-82F)(don't know if the flora-glo and plant&aquarium lights run hotter). The other is that it's too loud if I leave the filter lid open to vent heat, and becomes louder as the water evaporates more quickly from the top being open. I read a comment in another thread about being able to attach a tube to the output or something to lessen the noise and possibly slow the current. I've searched and come up empty. Does anyone know how to do this?
