I have 4 adult brichardi and 2 dafodil cichlids, which are breeding, and i have about 5 medium size dafodils and about 4 small ones. I need a bottom feeder to clean up the excess food, and possibly something to take care of soem algae, i just don't know what will work since the dafodils are breeding, i dont want something that will either eat the eggs or the young. thanks

What size tank do you have? That will be the deciding factor I think, though pretty much all bottom feeders are scavnegers and will eat whatever gets in their mouth (eggs, small fish).

That would seem to be a hardy catfish that can take care of itself, yet is peaceful. I have never kept one but the size would be about right for your tank and they are easy to feed. Make sure to give it a nice cave as they like to hide a lot, especially during the day.

www.planetcatfish.com is a great site to check out for info on tons of bottom feeders.

I think I might go with that, but I'm not sure yet. Any other ideas anyone?
