Ok, I've stopped the ferts on my 10g that will eventually be for some mystery snails and shrimp. I'm planning on just leaving it sit to let the plants clean out the water & cont. regular water changes.
Now, is it Ok to add some MTS to the tank? I have them in my other 2 tanks, which I've never had any problems with, and I've always thought the MTS were at least partially responsible for keeping things aerated. I'll be feeding the Mystery snails and shrimp, so there shouldn't be any food competition, so is there any other reason this might be a bad idea?
Once I drop a few in, there's no going back - it's nearly impossible to find all the little suckers to remove them.
