Hi Guys,
I just upgrade my lighting fixture to VHO T6 120W@30" and i add a Circulation Pump 600gph @ ? pressure. This pump doesn't have a curve on it's specs. After that my zoas got closed, they don't like this upgrade. Before, I had 2x20W bulbs@ 24" T8 under the tank canopy. What do you think is going on?

P.S. i forgot to add, tank 30g.

Most likely they are acclimating to the new light. However do you have them in direct flow? Chaotic flow is great, but a direct stream of flow isn't.
The pump has a chaotic flow and they are not in direct flow. Also my Coral Banded Shrimp didn't go out of his cave. Usually early in the morning he is out on the rocks but now nothing. During the night i shut off th lighting and i keep only the flow and filter pump is this good or i have to shut off the flow too.

You only need to turn the lights off which many do via a timer. If this occured immediately after the light change I'm guessing it is them acclimating to the light. To be on the safe side though you may want to check for pests or predators.

I generally leave my powerheads running 24/7 with the exception of sometimes turning off the one closest to the overflow. If you had significantly weaker lighting before they might just be getting used to it.

Thanks! I was thinking to be an acclimatic issue. I will leave my new power head to run all time.
Grins, i think i have a PREDATOR in my tank its a black crab which leaving in a small cave in one of my rocks, should i take it out? It come off only during the night. It killed 2 of my mushrooms. Last week in the morning w/o light i fund it out and i wished i take it off. But, if i take it off, what should i do with it? Stupid question ah?

If you've seen it killing your corals definitely remove it. You don't need to kill it of course. There are traps you can use, someone recently just swooped in a with a net and got one but they must be some sort of crab jedi master, and some do a quick dip to remove them.
