First try at a planted tank. I ordered a misc plant selection from freshwateraquariumplants.com and am pretty satisfied, however, I never imagined planting them to look good would be so hard. I'm satisfied with the right side of the tank, but I just can't get the left side to a point that I like. Any suggestions?

Setup:
20 gal high
DIY CO2
Hang on back biowheel filter
roughly 45 watts of light

Fish:
3 angelfish
1 pleco

Plant List:
Crypt Walken
Crypt Petchi
Java Fern
Kleinger Bar Sword
Corkscrew Vallisneria
Dwarf Saggitaria
Crypt Lucens
Dwarf Aquarium Lily
Other Misc plants they shipped to me

Here's a picture of it shortly after planting it tonight.

I think my problem is that they gave me so many plants and I feel like I have to use them all.

a lot of times with tanks that has all the plants new at the same time, it's difficult to get them to look good, because they're not established yet.

Just let them grow in some, and it'll start to look better and better! :)

I like it so far, it's nice!

That is a very nice setup that you have going there project 15! I just recently purchased a 20 gallon, and I bet that I will mimic this aquascape!

I think you're doing great. Give it a few months for the plants to grow in and spread a bit.
