Hello. I just started up a 25 gallon high and its going to have 35-40 watts of light on it. I was wondering do i have to cycle the tank if i add a lot of plants to it? Its going to be a heavily planted tank. Im upgrading from my 10 gallon heavily planted tank to my 25 gallon high tank. Here is a link to my 10 gallon tank. http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums...08#post1116808 (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1116808#post1116808)

It's okay to put your plants in right away. But if you're going to be dosing pure ammonia to start the cycle then be very very careful of your levels. Ammonia is fertilizer. Once you introduce plants you introduce algae spores and they like ammonia too. Keep your CO2 high, your light level low and photo period short.

Ok. Can i also add the fish, snails, with the plants at the same time?

Move the sand and the filter media and you should be fine. Good luck.

Yeah, if you're moving everything over, it is essentially just a BIG wc.
