Yes, I said CHRISTMAS tree
We are getting ours thanksgiving and we decided this years theme will be "peacocks"... such as blue, purple and silver...
:lipssealedsmilie:

Here's ours.
Its one of those fibre optic trees that changes colour, we used to have a real tree every christmas but it was a bit of a chore to get one.

Christmas trees? Already?
We get ours about five days before Christmas, usually 'cos we can't be bothered/forget/don't get our act together...

I would love to see everyone else's pictures, although i'm not getting one this year.

For some strange reason there seems to be a fishtank in every spot where a Christmas tree could fit. . . . .

we refuse to put ours up until the weekend after thanksgiving at the earliest...still believe in separation of holidays and all that. besides, mentally i can only handle one at a time anyway lol

^^^ what sploke said. I have a tree we take out of the box every year. Ours is no Christmas tree however. It's a solstice decoration.

We have a plastic tree too, we got it last year. Its one with the prewired lights....man after having that, I'll never go back.

But I like going out in the cold, and seeing the tree fall down... then smelling it when it first comes through the door and untangleing the lights and putting up the ornaments and seeing it come to life for the first time:D :D :grinyes:
then before taking it down, I snip off all the needles and make pine oil, candles or just putting them all in a vase :D
i still have a bowl full from a few years back, and i just finished a batch of pine oil a few weeks ago

it only happens once a year

I juts don't like cutting down live trees for a week or two of enjoyment. Although I'd venture to say that if you looked at all the crap created in the process of building a plastic tree, the environmental impact is probably less if you just cut one down.
