Here's ours.
Its one of those fibre optic trees that changes colour, we used to have a real tree every christmas but it was a bit of a chore to get one.

Christmas trees? Already?
We get ours about five days before Christmas, usually 'cos we can't be bothered/forget/don't get our act together...

I would love to see everyone else's pictures, although i'm not getting one this year.

For some strange reason there seems to be a fishtank in every spot where a Christmas tree could fit. . . . .

we refuse to put ours up until the weekend after thanksgiving at the earliest...still believe in separation of holidays and all that. besides, mentally i can only handle one at a time anyway lol

^^^ what sploke said. I have a tree we take out of the box every year. Ours is no Christmas tree however. It's a solstice decoration.

We have a plastic tree too, we got it last year. Its one with the prewired lights....man after having that, I'll never go back.

But I like going out in the cold, and seeing the tree fall down... then smelling it when it first comes through the door and untangleing the lights and putting up the ornaments and seeing it come to life for the first time:D :D :grinyes:
then before taking it down, I snip off all the needles and make pine oil, candles or just putting them all in a vase :D
i still have a bowl full from a few years back, and i just finished a batch of pine oil a few weeks ago

it only happens once a year

I juts don't like cutting down live trees for a week or two of enjoyment. Although I'd venture to say that if you looked at all the crap created in the process of building a plastic tree, the environmental impact is probably less if you just cut one down.

My tree won't come out until Dec.1. No sooner, no later. Its not a real tree but its not fiber optic either. Just...normal? Hahaha not sure what word i'm looking for there. I like putting the lights all around it and the ornaments. My 2 cats especially love it, who needs a tree topper thingy when you've got 2 cats who are more then willing to "top" it for you??

This is our first year with a tank at Christmas. The tank is sitting right where the tree usually stands. Come to think of it the fish stuff is plugged where the X-mas lights get plugged in. But I refuse to even think about it until next week!

When do you early birds take your tree down? Mine prob won't come down until 1/6/08--gotta be careful about when it goes up!

Not till after the Ukrainian Christmas....whenever that is.... Sometime in January I know that much

Same exact thing here. For as long as I remember we have never had decorations until atleast a week after Thanksgiving. And the earliest we can drink egg nog is on Thanksgiving day NEVER before.

I'll try to post a pic when it goes up. That won't be until a week and a half before Christmas. I always chop a nice 10 footer down and drag it home. And it is down by New Year's day. Fire hazards when they get good and dry. Keep your fingers crossed that this year's tree doesn't fall down like last year's tree:lipssealedsmilie:. :grinyes::grinyes: You haven't experienced Christmas till you son calls you up at work and asks you why the tree is on the floor.....visions of every glass ornament shattered:eek:.

Haha jag funny you should say that. My wife went shopping last week and came home with a quart of egg nog. I just can't bring myself to drink it yet, just doesn't feel right. Our tree usually comes down when we sober up after new years...so maybe mid january? lol

we usually put one up about a week after thanksgiving.

since we got rid of our artificial tree, we've been getting live tree's..artificials here are expensive...we like the pine smell though, usually fills the whole house.

That's one of the best things about getting pine trees, you can't replicate it by spraying a plastic one with Pine-o-clean

Same problem here. Going to have to do a little furniture moving to fit one in. The room won't look right but it will only be for a few weeks. I wouldn't even get one if it weren't for the kids.

Those are some pretty trees! I love Christmas. Its a nice time to relax and take a break from school or work.

We actually have two trees. Our formal and informal one. The formal one has a certain color theme and light bulbs. Our informal one looks like a rainbow threw up on it. There are so many colors from all the different ornaments we collect. That one is fun to decorate because we get to make fun of the large ornaments that make the tree branches sag. Those go in the back. Someone asked us why we even bother putting those on and I told them so we could make fun of whomever bought a 5lb ornament for a tree branch.

Nope I hate Christmas.

I hate the music, the decorations, putting lights up outside (which I did today). Having to hang with relatives I wouldn't see any other day of the year.

The only thing I do like is getting my bonus and 2 days off with pay.

Now New Years, thats a holiday I can get into.
