View Full Version : albino corys
i've 2 albino corys in my tank. however the problem is that sometimes, in the morning, sometimes one and sometimes both of them will have red patch on their tails or on their foreheads. however that night, it will go away and it will stay away for a few days and come back once in a while.
what are these red patches and are they dangerous to the albino corys?
also another questions are how large can corys in general grow up to? i've seen really huge ones in my lfs!
Don't know much about the red dot thing, but the albino cories generally get to around 2.5" in length. They seem to be the bigger of the dwarf cories. There are other species of cories that get really big.

The biggest "Cory" is actually Brochis. Google it and see if this isn't the really big "Cory" you've been seeing. They look like a giant Corydoras aeneus.
thanks for that info! so how about the red patch on the albino? is it normal?
