No to the Elongatus and the Afra. They are mbuna and will eat plants (which their diet consist of)
Fryeri are haps and get huge. A 25 gallon would be way too small for one, alone 5. There are no malawi fish that you could keep in a planted 25.
If you are looking for a cichlid, get a few rams.

Also a "no" on the xenotilapia. Sandsifters need pretty "specialized" tank setups. They also do not do as well in regular community tanks.
