I decided to split my flow so I could run my pump at full strength..
Look at the mess I had to go through!
It actually works very well, surprisingly..
Don't faint when I say this but....I'd replace the metal parts with non-corrosive ones.

Yeah, the hose clamps are "stainless steel", which means nothing. I need to find some better clamps, which are not available at Lowe's

Hah. That is definitely allot of work. What I plan on doing is adding another HOB overflow which will allow me to accomplish the same thing.
looks like your valve is metal as well

I know, I know!!
*sniff sniff*
Once again; I was limited to what was available. I was more worried about getting the pressure off the pump as soon as possible. I'll go hunting for the needed replacements and acquire them as they become available..

Lowes should have pvc ball valves readily available. Mine carries them on the isle with the hoses rather than with the PVC. /shrug
Yes, they typically carry all the parts in 2 aisles next to one another here. And they are very helpful if you explain what you're trying to do and bring in any fittings you are trying to worth with...or know the outside AND inside diameters

I wasn't sure if the store layouts were the same or similar from state to state. However, it sounds like they could be.

Here are examples of the 1" PVC ball and union ball valves. You can get get the attachments for the hose connectors in the PVC section.
