What kind of paint do i use for the back of the tank??? And shoould i go blue or black?

P.S. I should have picks soon, I'm i the process of staining my stand

I've heard of people using spray paint (like Krylon) but I'm not sure. I have thought about just plain old latex, brushed on, and maybe using several different shades of blue to make a more interesting background...I'm interested in what responses you get also.

I had black handy at home so I just brushed it on the back being careful not to get any inside. And yes, it was latex.

Color is a personal preference. I prefer black but I've seen nice blue tanks as well. I prefer either to the stick on photos that some like.

:iagree:
If I weren't so lazy, I would think a nice dark-ish blue fading into black or almost black near the bottom would look nice....

Though I have used just about all kinds of paint that are out there, a satin black oil based, applied with a roller is my favorite.

i always use spray paint. the better the paint i would imagine would give you better results. iv had both blue and black painted backgrounds and i cant decide which i like better. my hope was that the back would be covered in coralline anyway.
