heres a watchman gobi i picked up about 3 weeks ago but this week it looks like his mouth is infected. he still eats and acts perfectly normal but will this condition eventually go away? another question is i cant find my small clown anywhere and he never hides unless hes hiding in the bta. ive looked behind the rock and everything but nowhere to be found. the second pic is of another anenome i have but i forgot the name of it. he never goes around this anenome but if he did swim by it last night is there a chance that it could have eaten him? thanks
The second anemone is a condylactis which is a notorious fish eater.....if your clown went in there it is possible he was eaten. The watchman may have a fungus infection such as cotton mouth, which can be treated if he was removed to a qt tank......
I'd definitely get the watchman to a QT tank while you research and prepare to treat whatever it is. I'd also consider removing the condy as I don't like mixing anemones in most tanks especially a 24g.

yeah i swear that thing is getting bigger by the day. i think tomorrow im going to bring it back and get a new fish. as for the qt tank, i dont exactly have a spare tank lying around what if i just put him in like a plastic container or something w/ some sand and water?
As long as you add the basics of a qt such as temp control and aeration you can use any inert container.

yes it def looks like the watchman has some sort of infection which should be treated in qt. i agree as well about giving back the condy too and sticking with 1 nem in you tank. good luck!

got rid of the condy today and they guys was cool enough to replace my clown. havnt seen the goby all day but when i do i'll set him up in a tank.

Sound like a good fish store. Did you get something in place of the condi?

yeah thats awesome that your lfs would do that, mine would have been like "sorry about your luck bro, heres the weekly special...blah blah" sounds like your store cares about it's customers mine just cares about the cash
