Would a softie and LPS tank benefit from the addition of 2-part calcium and alkalinity dosing?

Ya i gotcha...
But does it benefit a softie/lps tank to have the calc and alk at perfect levels? like 450 calc and 9-12 dkh? i know it benefits a sps tank, but will those higher numbers help a softie tank?
Probably not as the softies utilize lower amounts of ca. This low demand can easily be met by a regular water change regimen with a quality salt mix. To determine your usage you should take your ca measurement on day one and then take 4 days later and divide this number by 4 to determine your daily usage. The following is a great calculator for adjusting your additives to fit your situation....
