I am considering getting a 2nd 30 gal. This way, I could put a divider in the middle and breed medakas or guppies or whatever on one side, then I could keep the full growns on the other side. What do you think? If that doesn't sound good, I will just get a 10 gallon for breeding.

Thanks!!

That would work and probably be easier for transporting fish as if you wanted to move them from one side to another you would have the same water parameters. However, it might be hard to keep transporting things from one side to the other like: 1) the pregnant mom goes on her own side until she gives birth. 2) Move her before she eats babies but not before she's had a bit of time to recover. 3) When guppies are big enough you move them to the adult side. But then you can only have one batch at a time, you can't put a pregnant mom on the side with guppies that are a few weeks old because she will eat them. So maybe if you did both, have the ten gallon for the fry after they are one or two weeks old and then keep one side of the divider for pregnant moms. But it is hard on the fry to be moved often so you'll have to consider that.
