Hello,

I was just wondering does any use those vitamin supplements for fish? I have a 60gal planted with 5 discus, 3 blue german, 3 algae eaters, 8 rummy nose, and 10 neon. Just wondering if supplements really do help with their overall health.

you should be fine with a good flake or pellet food and a mix of Bloodworms etc on occassion.

I do occassionally feed garlic(crushed) but it really should not be needed.

That's my concern my local fish store feeds their discus nothing but bloodworms and when if I feed them dry foods they wont eat it. Is it bad for them to eat nothing but frozen bloodworms, shrimp and live blood worms?

just wean them off of the mix..

I did this with mine by mixing slow sinking pellets with the bloodworms/brine shrimp mix
I use tetra color bits for mine ..now they eat anthing that hits the water..including my fingers.

brib shrimp have very little food value in them..hikari supposedly add vitamins to boost theirs but still I prefer not to feed mine frozen food all the time.

you should see what good breeders feed them.

Good idea before they would not eat the shrimp so I mixed with the worms and now they do eat shrimp, I should of done the same with the dry food. Thanks
