Hello,
I was gone for a day and when I came home one of my african dwarf frogs was dead and the other was swimming upside down..
Before I left I had added Leaf Zone to my 5G tank. Leaf zone is Iron and Potash (K2O).
When I checked the water quality, the ammonia was at .5ppm and the nitrite was at 1ppm.
I am not sure if a) the ferts killed the frog and the frog caused the ammonia spike or b) the ammonia spiked for some other unknown reason and killed the frog.
The 2nd frog I moved to a bucket where he seems to be doing better so far.
Thanks for any help!
