I was at my lfs and i noticed that they had romaine lettuce in with the Severums. I've never seen that b4. They were actually eating it, so i tried it here at home and seems they love it. So my questions are.
Is any leafy vegetable, ok?
How often should i feed them that?
How long should i leave in tank?

Sevs relish veggies and any green matter.;) They already have a reputation for being destructive on planted tanks. If you want to try lettuce and cucumber, you can leave them overnight. Green peas are nice additions that help prevent constipation.

some cichlids apparently like it. my cons are reported to like it but they never touch it. haven't tried spinach yet.

Nori also works, the seaweed sheets you get at the grocery store for rolling sushi.

make sure you check the 'nori' as some of it has been seasoned(spices including aji no moto-mono sodium glutemate)

There's a seaweed aquarium treat you might try, called pleco passion. No chemicals.
