My cherry shrimp molted and left its (fertilized) eggs with the old shell. I'm assuming the eggs are fertilized because I can see little eyes. Is this common? Or is something wrong with the tank?

Uh.. This is not common at all. I would take the molted shell and the eggs - be careful and put them into a net and hang it in the tank so they get tank water as well. Make sure you put it somewhere where nothing can get to it - ie. snails. They will eat the eggs.

Someone posted a thread about this here a while ago, can't remember who, but I believe they did manage to get the eggs to hatch.

Ah... well my ghost shrimps converged on the shell and ate the eggs and shell before I got back to it. RIP :(
