Hi everyone, im excited that I actually have something in my new tank now, so I thought Id share a pic and see what you all think. This is my first try at a planted tank. I still want to get some more plants and of course fish, but this is what is looks like so far. Sorry the pic is not the best, and I know I need to fix the background, but other than that what do ya think?

Nice large swimming area in the middle. With more plants on the way to fill it out I'd say you're off to a great start. What size tank is that?

Nice job, it looks like you have some room for a few more plants 8)

The driftwood reminds me of a volcano! Very nice.

Thanks! It is a 46 bow front, a work in progress. I started out with some easy plants untill I get my co2 hooked up, then I plan on adding some stem plants, and some foreground plants. I think I need to start dosing some ferts, because I have close to 3 watts of light per gallon, and my co2 isn't ready yet, and im starting to get some algae. I was also thinking about using some flourish excel, but im not sure if it will kill my moss ball, and snails. At first I thought that using the Eco complete substrate would be enough nutrients for the plants for at least a little while, but I guess I was wrong. I Need these plants to start outgrowing the algae. Agg... I pretty much know what I need to do to solve the problem, but money is getting tight now that christmas is comming. Ya know what I mean! Anyway thanks for the comments, glad you like it so far. Ill post more pics after I get more plants and fish in there.
