I just spent quite some time trying to get a stressed gourami to recuperate but was unsuccessful. It was having problems breathing and I guess the medication stressed it out too much before I placed it in the tank.

So I'm there in the bathroom (aka Emergency Room/ ICU) with a an air pump and the fish in my hand underwater in a plastic container trying to get a circulation in front of the fish to help it breath. Time of death...1830hrs.

It's been awhile since I've lost a fish due to my error. It still sucks.

As long as I don't start to do post-death c-sections on shrimps or fish, lol.
im teasing.

anyone else with a story.

No story to add here - but I AM kinda relating...

I'm busy nursing the goldfish I never wanted that came with the tank that I did :D

I've put so much time and effort and worry into the lil guy he's now going to be with us for the rest of his lil fishie life instead of getting 'farmed out' to a nice pond...

Who me?? Soft???!! Nah.... ;)

I recently performed an autopsy of one my leaf fish... cause of death, ghost shrimp impeding healthy gill function. Looks like he bit off more then he could chew
