Hi all, just wanted to show off my new cats. I got three otocinclus two weeks ago, and they are still fat and happy in my tank! They've been scraping away on the little bit of algae on the walls, working on the driftwood and plants, and I've even seen them on the zucchini slices and algae wafers I put in for the cories.

I have one of these guys (Otocinclus mariae):

and two of these guys (I think they're Otocinclus vestitus):

They're so cute, especially the way their fat little tummies get a flat spot when they're sucked onto the glass, and how they do "push-ups" against the glass.

Nice pics and fish. otos are some of the coolest fish. i just wish mine wouldnt get constipated from an algae only diet. i hope they live longer than mine did!

They're pretty cute! Mine look like your first picture but they don't hide at all like "mellowvision" said his did. I always see them scooting from plant to plant to wall and back to the plants. I love them, and its AMAZING how quickly they ate all the algae in my 20g. I severely underestimated them....now i have to keep switching them back and forth between my 20g and 50g to make sure they always have enough to eat. Anyway, congrats on the little guys, you'll learn to love 'em!!!

A great little fish!
