Hey there...First thing is...We need to know a little about your system..
Can you provide for us what livestock is in there, type(s) of filtration, and you current tank parameters for Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, pH and Phosphates please....
How long as the tank been running?

Is your tank near a window that sunlight shines through?
Did you use RO or tap water? There could of been nitrates in either
From my understanding of tap water it could be nitrates, phospates, or silicates (at least) in the water that could be causing the diatoms (brown algae). If you are cycling your tank this is expected at some point and usually subsides. Please provide more information on your tank.
