My rocky 29g cichlid tank was finally set up with fish today.

Fish:
1 Yellow Lemon Cichlid
1 Red Zebra CIchlid
1 Blue Cobalt Zebra Cichlid

& 1 Synopontis Notatus Catfish

The fish get along fairly well and are starting to set up little territories. (The Red Zebra is the "Bully")
& The tank has just started cyling with fish.

Questions

*Where can I get some more rockwork for more hiding places?? (Slate & more limestone would be nice)
*How often should i feed these vegetarian / algae-eating fish? (No algae in the tank yet)
*How often should the light stay on?

Any other advice would be great!

How large are your cichlids?

Bear and mind that mbuna can be aggressive fish and are best kept in larger numbers and in bigger tanks (55gal+). Small quantity and/or small tank can magnify aggression (which won't be readily apparent if the fish are fairly young and small).

Fish

They're all around 2 inches.
I'm hoping that i can decrease aggression a bit by diversifying the tank with more hiding places. But, I would'nt be surprised if I have to replace my livestock after a while because of aggression.

It probably would be best to replace the tank with a larger one since an ambitious and dominant mbuna can probably claim the entire tank as its exclusive territory. At 2" though, you have time to upgrade.
