Anyone have aquarium pictures to share with different backgrounds, or no background - then putting a background up?
(I also have a lighting question similar to this one...... )

if you mean like before and after pictures of the same tank I cannot help you there, but I have never seen a tank without a background that did not look better with one. the only tank that should be backgroundless is one with no back (ie. viewed from both sides).
