ebjd sick

hi my ebjd is sick i thought he had ick he was flashing on everything in the tank. and he had the spots on his fins. so i gave him 2 treatments. not getting anybetter, noticed small holes on his head. so it must be hole in the head. gave him 2 treatments waiting to change the water says to wait 48 hours. but he is still not eating (this is the fourth day). his tail fin is a little ripped up so i have been using melafax for that and for a cloudy eye. my main questions are how is hole in the head contracted and is there anything else that could be wrong. also around his mouth is white i think it could be from banging into things. if anybody has any other remedies that would help. thanks

HLLE is caused by water quality issues, from what I understand. Can you test your water and post specific results for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate? Do the fish's fins look nipped, or have you noticed any aggression between your 2 JDs? Can you post photos of the fish?

the ammonia is 0 nitrite is 0 the nitrate is kinda high its between10 and 20 ppm.the fins looked ripped and the only aggression is the ebjd towards the jd. my camera has no batteries if i can i will post soon
