The largest fish I've ever seen is the largest fish in the world....A Whale Shark :jaw-dropping: I've been to the Georgia Aquarium in the Summer.
They had two whale sharks but one died:sad: I don't know when but my sister told me..... It's really sad.

What's the largest fresh or salt water fish you've ever seen?!

When I was a kid we had a whale shark swim right under our 24 foot boat, it was the same size as the boat.

The biggest fish I've ever seen, of course, have been in public aquariums.

The biggest one I've seen for sale locally (other than all the poor common plecos) is this guy, acanthurus dussumieri:

I was working at the LFS and a monster one came in, about 15-18 inches long I'd say. He tried to slice my boss with the spine near his caudal fin on his way into the tank. Fortunately he was not successful, lol. When he was sold he had to be transported in a large bucket, as there were no bags big enough to hold him by a long shot.:) Awesome fish, and super aggressive too.
