Black and white skirt tetras?

I have 6 Black skirts and I'd like to up the shoal to 12. I was wondering if white skirts would fit right in the blacks or would they form two different groups? They will be going into a 55 gallon.

They're still the same species and should go along.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I just want to break up the color a little.
