I recently got a 4 inch female Green Terror from a friend who had her in a aggressive 55 gal and she got beat up a bit. When i went there and seen her she was a mess, she was the only one really beat up. I guess she had spawned twice and in defense of her eggs she was messed up a bit. There is a 5-6 inch male Convict, 6 inch male 3 Spot, 6 inch male Jack Dempsey, 8 inch male Green Terror, 8 inch Rainbow Shark.
I've had her about a week now and she has healed up a bit but i was wondering if and when the rip in her tail will heal. She also has a little lip damage. She is in a 45 gal tall show tank with a 3 inch male Convict, 6 inch Common Pleco, 6 inch Spotted Rapheal Cat.

Is it true that once a female green terror spawns she stops growing?

The rip in her tail should heal up in a week... The lip problem will go away in 1-2 months... and if they stop growing once they have spawned... I am not sure.

as long as the water is clean, the wounds should heal up in no time...

No she will not stop growing because she spawned. GT's sexually mature around 4" and females are known to get around 6-8" in a tank. So she should grow to about 6" at the least. GT's are sometimes known to grow at a slow rate, compaired to other cichlid species.

I'll give you a "if she was mine" scenario. I would have the temperature @ 80 to 82. I add aquarium salt to all my top off and water change water @ 1tbsp. per 5 gallons. Salt provides replacement sodium and chloride ions that stressed or sick fish need. Multiple feedings a day if possible. The higher temperature will increase the metabolism of all the fish. This will mean more waste and activity. That means more water changes. Once she recovers I would reduce the temperature to your preference. I personally keep mine @ 76. Good luck.
