Failing Heater?

For the past couple of weeks I have noticed the temperature falling in my tank and as a result I have been upping the output on my heater (I have had to do this periodically since I bought it). As of now the output is maxed and the temperature is hovering a little above 70.

I have an Eheim Jager 3605 with 125W output. I have had the heater for probably around 6 months now.

I was wondering if this sounds like a normal heater failure and if I should just replace it or if maybe there is something special about Eheim heaters that I am missing (since the beginning the tank hasn't been the same temp as what I have been setting the heater at). If it is heater failure can somebody recommend a quality heater that actually does what it says. Thanks.

do you know the temperature of the room?

usually heaters can only manage a certain amount higher than the room temp, so it might just be maxing out on that size tank in comparison to room temp

but it does sound like it could be failing - visi-therm stealth are good internal heaters if you need a replacement

I believe that Eheim bought out Ebo Jager but it's the same heater. If the top is blue it may be adjustable and if that dosen't work then send it back ,It's bad.
To adjust there should be a small buttom on top of the heater,if so pull up on that button and adjust the temp setting dial to the current tank temperature. What ever the difference just align the heater temp setting to tank temp. When done push the button down to relock the setting dial. You may have to try 2 or 3 times over a couple of days.

maybe it came from a bad batch oh and if the room is cold and since it is not that high wattage thats ur culprit
