So, I've been having some trouble finalizing a desired stocking list for my 75g tank, but I think I've got it. Thought I'd run this one by you guys to ensure it's not an overload, and that it's reef-friendly!

3 chromis
2 osc. clowns
1 lawnmower blenny
1 yellow-eye kole tang
1 royal gramma
1 6 line wrasse

I would also like to add an RBTA and clam down the road, but that's a ways off, and after a major lighting upgrade! I think this list may be pushing it, but doable... Tell me what you think!

I think your stocking list is fine, but what is leaning you towards a 6-line wrasse? Have you had one before.

It is unusual that you would find the yellow-eyed Kole's Tang, they are great algae eaters.

I think that for certain you would be able to have an RBTA and Clam but you need really good water and proper light source (typically MH)...are you using a sump? or what kind of filtration and what is your protein skimmer. What are you current lights?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to make sure that the recommendation fits your equipment.

I just think the 6-line is a cool looking fish, and have heard that they're reef safe. Should I do more research on him?

There is a kole tang at my LFS that I love, he's a cute little bugger!

I am using PC lights right now, but will be upgrading to two 250 MH lamps after xmas. I have a 20G sump with a coralife super skimmer.

My water is good, except that my phosphates are extremely high (due to using tap water I believe). An RO/DI will be another post-xmas upgrade! I'll be waiting till the phosphates are gone and the tank is a little older before the clam and anemone!

strangerdejavu you can have that phosban I bought with your order.. I'll bring it to the next meeting for the club. You'll just need to put it in a high flow area in your sump and it will help reduce it. If you get down to fargo I can get it to you as well..

The six-line sis fin, the have a propensity to be a bit aggressive. There are so many other warsses that are reef safe I would look around. Many are natural predators for pest that can habitat your reef. Worth the research.

CL- Thanks! That would be great! Too bad you don't have a use for it, after waiting all that time for it :)

And thanks for the pointer, almondsaz. I'll definitely do the reading before buying

No problem.. Just buy yourself a mesh bag from either of those stores up there and rince it a little to "knock off" a little dust and put it in your sump. It should help reduce any algae problems. But with my mangroves taking off they are sucking up all nutrients in my system right now to the point where my chaeto is barely surviving. But your welcome to it..

My LFS has had one for some time now and I couldn't resist buying him this morning. He wasn't actually too bad of a price, either.

Oooh. I'm jealous! Picture, please?

I've been dying to pick up the one here, but I'll be leaving town for a couple weeks soon, and it doesn't seem responsible of me to get a new little guy and then leave him to someone else's care!

I'll be posting some pics of him once he stops turning into a blur on the camera. Perhaps tomorrow when I might get access to a camera without the delay that mine has. He does swim like an absolute goof though.

Is there any way you could pay a deposit down for your LFS to hold him until you get back?
