For a fully planted tank with swords and elodea etc what is the requirement for light?
The tank is a 29gallon and has a 55 watt light.

I have two different t8 fixtures, one runs for 12 hours, the other runs for 10 (one hour after the first set comes on, one hour before the other goes off.)

I run mine for 10 hours, any longer and it seems to help algae growth.

I decided to order the 55watt compact!
This way i will not be disappointed by the fan noise.
What are some plants i can grow with this?
I want to start off with some amozon swords and elodea!
What else could i get readly that would look interesting.
Maybe with some dark green and red.
Also will a bio wheel 200 be ok, i have it running currently but want to make sure this will not gas off co2.
Also can i get a link on a good DIY co2 system.
I will be using leaf zone by aqurium pharmaceticals, will this work?
Leaf Zone gives plants iron for lush green leaves and potassium to aid in photosynthesis. Special chelated formula allows nutrients to be rapidly absorbed.
Will this work or am i going to need something else as well?
If i use laterite would that be enough for the swords?
I just do not want to use the root tabs because they run out after a while, i was thinking laterite could be a long term solution.
My substrate is pea gravel so if i were to use this how would i put it in?
Do i have to drain the tank?
I wanted a piece of drift would as well.
Would this combination work together?
What fish do you think would be good for this tank?
