Just switched to Marine Actinic White Fluorescent, felt its made a big difference to bringing out the colours

just the normal lights with a violet bulb and on my eyebiters a really bright white one

I have found Power-Glo a good bulb for me. For a 55 gallon its 40 watts. Cheap and looks good over glass tops.
