Does anyone know what these are?? I went to get a couple Gold severums, they were out of stock. So I asked for 2 FMs, well I ended up with 1 FM and 1 what they said to be a Flamingo Cichlid it is a CA, is all I know and I can't find info on them, I have found a couple sites that sell them, but no pics and no info. I have no battery in my camera right now or I'd get a pic. As soon as the batteries are charged I'll post up some pics. Just wondering if anyone knew about them.

He was in with the firemouths, what is it a hybrid? I have two FMs already and yes he is very similar to them, but missing the spots, and speckles that a FM has. So would I just look up "false" FM to find info about him?? Here are my FM, so yes they are similar.

It looks like a juvi Red Devil/Midas maybe, or a robertsoni, its hard to tell Amphilophus apart when there so small. Its possibly some type of Flowerhorn=hybrid.
Its going to cause problems in your tank. It will grow much quicker than a FM and might be a very aggressive cichlid.
Its not a Thorichthys,. Mike- what is a false firemouth, pasiones?

Ahhh, GREAT!!! I wonder if they will take it back. They are suppose to be ordering me my Gold Severums, I can maybe take it back when they come in.
I do know better then to purchase w/o research, but it took her so long to catch, and she worked so hard on getting it (thinkin it was a FM), I felt bad for her and just said I would take it!

Before you bring it back look up Amphilophus robertsoni and see if you think that the fish, they are one of the smallest and less aggressive in the genus.
If so you could give it a try for awhile and see what happens. Robertsons are really cool cichlids.

LOL, Yeah...I go over there to when looking for answers. Except, I now have two post of the same, the server went down or I lost connection or something while trying to add the attachments, I refreshed and it posted twice, one w/ pics the other without, didn't notice the other and added the pics, then seen I had it on there twice!! I pmed Ewurm though and asked him to remove one of the two for me.
Anyway...no, I don't think it is Amphilophus robertsoni, he doesn't have the sparkle to him like that one..I wish he was though, they look awsome as adults. Actually he is looking more like the barred Midas. Although he doesn't look exactly like either, so I am going to look some more and see what I can come up with.
