Diane (my krib) had babies!! There are a million little fishies swimming around my tank. Now what?? They are in a 29 gallon with a bristlenose pleco and 2 gold dojo loaches. Oh, and of course Jack and Diane, the proud parents. Will they be ok or do I need to move someone? What do I feed these little guys?? Everyone else usually eats shrimp pellets or frozen shrimp. Should I put a sponge on the filter intake? :help: I want all my babies to make it!

I'd put a sponge over the filter. I assume they are freeswimming? If so, baby brine shrimp should be good. GL! =]

Yes, they are freeswimming. Diane is hovering over them, but they are out in the tank. Will either parent eat them? Are the loaches a concern?
Your loaches might end up eating them. The parents will not eat them although for some reasons, most cases do but do not worry too much about it. Kribs make fine parents compared to most cichlids.

I moved my dojos to the 60 gallon so Jack and Diane have the 29 to themselves.

That's good, Gwen. Have a good time rearing the fry.:)

OK help please. Things have been going great. The babies are so much fun to watch. I love how Diane takes them back into the cave every night. In the last couple days though she and Jack have been fighting. She chases him away and is nipping his tail.
Should I move him to another tank? Or maybe move the babies to my ten gallon? Which would be better, or should I leave them alone??
Thank you all for your help!!
