View Full Version : The 6-lined rass devil
My mom has a 6-lined rass that has eaten her two pepperment shrimp. The rass probably would eat my moms crab (I forgot what kind of crab) and her (I don't know what kind again) shrimp. What should me and my mom should do to the rass?
Keep feeding it expensive snacks or separate it from the shrimp.

does that happen to all six line wrasses, Grins?
No, some never have a problem with them at all.

this is why they are semi reef safe. lots of them eat inverts

It was one of the things that made me wary. "The larger specimens may eat ornamental shrimp".

when i looked them up, i didn't see that being said about them. i'll let mine sta for some time untill he gets bigger, then i'll trade him in. he'll have to go, because i like my cleaner shrimp alot.

You might end up liking your wrasse a lot too and if he is well fed and leaves the shrimp alone for a good bit you might not have a problem.

my sixline completely leaves my shrimp alone...
granted he is still small and the shrimp are relatively large compared to him... the six-lines were totally reef safe as far as i knew... it is some of the other wrasses that are semi-reef safe.

I deem the 6 line as reef safe...it will mainly feed off things like bristles etc
Just my thoughts
