Lets see.. I'm limited to this tank as my last sadly.. So I might as well have set it up!

I thought it would be a good mini planted for guppy fry. Then I had to add some cherry shrimp - 11 of them. I have 27 guppy fry in that tank. I plan on rearranging the tank so I can add some dwarf crayfish in there sometime next month. :) I'll update as I add more stuff and rearrange :D

Lol I agree. :) I like smaller tanks.

Now for the tank specs:

Gravel : Eco-Complete
Lighting : 2.5g light with 11w compact fluorescent bulb/ Marina night lights?
Heating : Marineland 10w heater
Filter : Tom Rapids Mini Canister

Fish: 27 half black, half yellow guppy fry.
11 small cherry shrimp.
30+ trumpet snails. - 7 adults
10+ small mystery snails.

Plants : Dwarf Hairgrass, Narrow Leaf Chain Sword, Wisteria, Anubias Nana, Micro Sword, Java Moss, and Java Fern plantlet :)

Plan on - Adding 3 or 4 dwarf crayfish and removing some mystery snails.

Lookin good!

Split the Dwaf Hairgrass up some so it will fill in faster. You might consider getting a higher wattage bulb.......11w is just a tad lower than I'd have over a 2.5g. Maybe the plants will be fine though.....

Great looking tank. I always liked smaller tanks more than bigger tanks, it seems like u can do cooler things with them, and you can see all your fish. Good luck!

Looks great!

but aren't you afraid your crayfish will eat your shrimp?

Nah.. I took out ALL of my shrimp from my 10g today.. All of them.. tore apart my whole tank. I got so mad from sucking up all these stupid worms from the gravel so I tore it apart.. I have about 50-60 or so in a 1g right now with sponge filter and mini heater for a week until I set it up again with LESS gravel. So I have plenty of shrimp and I won't be getting shrimp for another 2-3 weeks so that gives them time to grow a bit.

I have them in a 1g next to my 5g. Since I'm not using my 10g's light I took off the strip and I am currently using it on my 5g and 1g. Its so bright I feel blinded.. Its two 15w compact fluorescent screw-ins.

Thanks for the tip about the dwarf hairgrass. I thought splitting it like this was already too much.. guess I'll split them some more later.

Destined.. its only a matter of time before you have soo much.. They breed so quickly.. first I see 4 berried females.. 2 weeks later.. I see 10 babies.. and a week after that about 20..

A few upgrades! I changed it around so it can be ready when i get my dwarf crayfish in 3 weeks. Also changed bulb to 14w compact fluorescent-daylight? Also spread out the dwarf hairgrass more. now it looks like I have a lot.

Thanks for the comments! I have been away for 5 days.. I came back tonight. The moss wall is starting to grow in! The shrimp are also getting much larger! Sadly, I lost 2 snails.. :(

What can I use to dose calcium? Not using cuttlebone! I don't think it helps at all!

If you haven't already, feed fresh spinach, it is high in calcium. I also use a product called Reef calcium by Seachem. It is a liquid additive which maintains calcium. I mainly use both the spinach and Reef calcium for my ruby red ramshorns snails, colors appear brighter and shells are very healthy. I do not do this for my malaysian trumpet snails though, they seem to do fine on there own.
