In the thread above I had asked what this thing in my display was. Grins said it was coral skeleton, to leave it be and maybe it would grow back or maybe not.

It did! It came back!:woot::dance::cool-1:
Today when I got home did the norm and watched the tank for a few mins. Thats when I noticed that the coral skeleton looked like lil fingers coming off of it, waving in the current. I looked closer and they were Tanish-brown with white tips, atleast thats what i think. Its so small hard to tell so I tapped it with the handle of the scrapper and it retracted. When it retracted it looked like a pc of hard coral skeleton again. Holy cow its alive. So I watched and slowly it came back out. It kinda like hammer coral or frogspawn, not that it is but thats how the fingers look only a lot smaller. Tried to get pic but to small. kudos Grins:grinyes:

Lastnight it looked like it stayed like that. Why?

Because my candycanes open wide like that at night and then close during the day with only some tentacles showing a little when they are hungry.

Got some more pics of a coral skeleton, but from one of the other LR in my tank. After watching it for awhile now I noticed that at night it does retracted a little. The 1st pic is from a few months ago when I asked what it was and found out it was coral skeleton. The 2nd is from tonight. What do you think it is called?
