The 850 is amazing, but in my opinion slightly wasted. If I had a 850 gallon tank, I'd arrange it so I could see the thing from at least 3 sides. (Be sure to read about the worm incident (shiver))

The 400 build thread is just awesome and it's a fantastic tank.

I've seen the big one before, i like the 400gal thread though. still reading it, but i seriously hope to do something of that magnitude some day....

The big one is no more. It crashed a while back. Can't remember why, but I read a thread over at reefcentral about it.

Yeah, Steve West's tank is often linked to. Gorgeous isn't it? But one of the real treats on his site is actually his coldwater marine tank as they are much more rare in the hobby: http://www.oregonreef.com/sub_coldwater.htm

From the looks of the later pics it seems maybe he was fighting a bad algae problem..maybe even dinos?
