What about this LR?

What do you guys think about this LR (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1949)? It comes out to $5.76 a pound with shipping when LR around here is $9 a pound! I am just putting it into a 10 gallon nano reef so 16lbs might be too much. I want to order this tonight so I will have it for Friday. Thanks for the input.

You have to remember I live in Montana and a town of 75,000 with one LFS. So does that look like good rock?

$22 for second day air. I just cannot spend $9lb for rock! How many lbs did you use for your 10 gallon?

you roughlyl need around 1-1.5kg per gallon(2.2 - 3.3 lobs) so 22 - 33 lbs, the higher being the better

Was gunna order the same rock but sounded like most people like premium aquatics better. I haven't bought yet. Waiting for after the holiday, but I will be ordering from premium aquatics when I do. I called them and spoke to a sales guy who said they will hand pick the LR, what ever I want. they also have nano packs. Check it out.

I started with 5 pounds for my ten gallon. I hope to bring it up to ten this weekend, and them up to 15 in small incriments. I know the live rock has some die-off and adding too much at one time in a small tank, could ruin everything.

Dont shy away from Live Rock you see on EBAY. I bought 26lbs and it was good stuff. 88$ isnt bad if you ask me

Well I got the LR and it was pretty nice. I ended up using about 8 lbs of it. It smelled pretty bad so I got it in my tank as soon as I could to start out the cycle. It looks good. I dont think I want anymore LR in there.

I just bought my first 4 pieces local. The only local place I have is an hour away at $9.99/lb. I'm gonna buy the rest from Premium Aquatics. I've been waiting awhile for the Marshall Island, but its been getting delayed more and more so might go with the Fiji. They have very good service from my experience. How did your live rock from the other place turn out?

Not bad at all. More Tonga Branch then I wanted but overall Im happy with it.
