I got some Ocellatus Gold last week. Very cute fish, and fun to watch :) Despite their size they manage to move around shells much larger than themselves and do a lot of digging in the substrate.

How did you get such great picture?

What's his temparament? How big does he get? What's the ph?

Thanks guys. It's a 10 gallon tank and the Ph was about 7.8 last time I checked.

The pictures were taken with a Canon G3 digital. It helps to have a camera that lets you focus at a close range. It also takes a lot of practice and LOTS of deleted pics.

The males max out at 3" although 2" is probably more likely. Their temperment seems to be typical of most cichlids. They chase each other away from their respective shells but there's not much aggression beyond that. But they sure didn't like my oto, I had to move him to another tank.

edit: to answer peifc's question I don't know the sex yet.

Very cool Molino! I like how you have your tank setup as well.
