r/o water

i filled my new 130g tank with r/o water and put in 5"playsand and started up the sysyem to find a small leak in one of my return taps from the sump.I shut down system and took plumbing back to marine outlet who built my system.they have ordered a new tap but it has been 2.5 weeks now and my tank has been sitting idle with only a powerhead moving the water (at least the sand is settling)will this water be ok to use once system is up and running again

If the tank is empty other than water and sand I think you will have no problems using the same water after 2 weeks.

I'd keep the circulation going, keep it covered to aviod any contaminants getting in, and don't worry.

If you are going to use live rock/deep sand bed for filtration you could cycle the tank now too. If your using a wet dry or other power filter I guess you couldn't until you get the plumbing back up and running.
