I have a 15 Gallon Tall aquarium.
I only have 2 corals atm, but I'd like to get more over time.

Current lighting is a 40w 10k/Actinic PC

I'm thinking about buying a 2nd 40w light. Would this be worth the $60 to help corals, or would it just be a algea magnet?

I understand the Watt/Gallon tool doesn't apply to a small tank such as a 15g High.... but not sure if I should spend the $

MH gets too hot.

Guess the options are:
Keep it as is
+ Regular 15w Flourescent
+ PC 40w 50/50

For me, before suggesting such a powerfull light for a small tank, i think it best to see what corals are going to be kept..if its only low to med light softies, then i feel a metal halide light is somewhat over kill in my opinion..

What do you have in mind to keep in the system??

Right now I only have
Mushroom Polyp - Green Ricordea
Mushroom Polyp - Umbrella

I want to get
Zoos - Red Orange idk
rest, not sure atm

the corals you mentioned dont need anything like metal halides, a good PC fixture, or a small T5 would be more than adequate in my opinion...

I posted this twice now lol....

I already have a 40 watt PC 50/50. The question I asked, is if I should buy a second 40w 50/50 for this tank
