My digi is happy about something...I've never seen the polyps out so far.

About 1/2 of my zoos. Most of these I just picked up around halloween.

My BTA was looking particularly bulbous today.

This side of the tank is about full. Don't mind the reflection from the Christmas tree. ;)

VERY NICE, Damon. Excellent pics, I love the Birdsnest and the Hydnophora(I hope that's what it is, looks like it to me), and yes the Digi seems happy. I like all your stuff, very colorful and nice variety. Keep up the awesome job.

Watch those cloves, they'll take over your tank. I just killed about 1/2 tank full, choking out my corals. What do you call that big purple/green paly in the top pic, on the right? Wish my digi was as happy as yours...

Those are actually anthalia rather than cloves...which is a form/relative of xenia that doesn't pulse...They ARE the most aggressive thing in the tank, though.
The palys on the top are actually green people eaters. I overdosed on Mg a about a month ago and the skirts turned white. They're just getting back to being kind of brown like they're supposed to be again. It's funny, I've done this several times, and they always come back, but they sure are sensitive to that...of course, it doesn't stop their growth, just bleaches them out a little bit.
Thanks for the comments, guys...It is looking good these days, and I think I've finally reached the stage where I don't really have to work at it very much. I clean the glass every 2 or 3 days with the mag float, I fill the reservoir for the ATO about once a week and I do my 5g water change about once a week. I feed maybe every other day (on average).
Now it's just about sitting back and watching, rather than taking a hand in the development...well, for the most part. ;)

Nice looking tank, Damon! I like the digi, the green palys and the ricordia best. Oh yeah, and the bta and the anthelia and the zoos and the ... :grinyes:
Great job,
Tom
p.s.I'm glad you mentioned the Christmas tree reflection. I thought I was passing out.:hypnotized:

I have a frag of those I bought from a local reefer. I would think GPEs have no purple in them & always wondered what mine are. Mine have more of a thin lavender ring around the green & a lavender skirt. I don't see them on Zoa ID either.

Like I said, they're bleached out and not quite the color they should be right now.
Here's what they looked like pre-bleached:

The people eater name, as far as i know, really just indicates a green mouth in the middle.

How come you put up pics in this forum & they stay here & I put up pics in this forum (looking for reefer's opinions) & it get's moved to the photo forum, where no one will probably bother to look?
Damon, I wish my bta would bulb up like that. And you've made me miss my lost pink birdsnest. I hold you entirely responsible if I go buy a replacement today.

You got some great shots there. I love the little zoa collection. It will be fun to see their growth in a year.

BTW, don't you think these look more like your palys?

That's kinda what mine look like. They don't look like the GPEs there at all.

No they sure don't. Mine don't look exactly like the GPE picture on that site, but they definitely don't have the sprinkled multi-color of that picture.
Oh well...who knows. I'm not big into the names anyhow...just think they look cool. ;)

Actually, this person calls them 'omen people eaters', but they're definitely the same as mine:

I guess mine are the stardust ones then, because they have the purple ring--not that much "dust" on em but I do see a little.
