For 60 bucks you can get a 50 foot python or DIY.
1/4 HP pump from Menard's-40$
40 foot silicone tube with garden hose attachment 20$
I have done a few water changes already and it works great. I don't put it directly in the tank though. I use 2 20 gallon plastic feed buckets. 1 I age water in, the other I siphon water to and pump out the water. I put the pump in the aging water, pump out the line, and then fill the tank.

That's very similar to what I do. I actually used a piece of extra tubing from my xp3 to connect my python kit to a pond pump (rated for 250 gph) I bought perhaps a year or so ago for $5. Works great. :-)
How do you regulate temps?

I age water overnight in a 20 gallon feed bucket with a stealth heater in it.

ill be doing something like that. ill have 2 pumps. one to suck water out of the tanks to the back yard and the other to suck water out of the bin to the tanks.
I'll be using a pump to get the siphoned water out to the backyard next summer but I'll still use the python for all my PWCs. Since I'm on city water I'll have to treat the water going in anyway so there's no advantage to the aging bucket for me.

Ill pump it out to the yard in summer. Heating bills are too much to open a window or door.

This is such a timely thread: I've been thinking of getting a small pump to help with water changes, rather than lifting (and spilling) a bucket.
