Brand Name Refractometers?

Is there really much of a difference between the brands of refractometers? There are some you can purchase online for about $60 but the guy at my lfs said they aren't as high quality as the ones he supplies which cost $120. Is there really a better brand?
 
One thing I've noticed in the different prices is some are digital and others you have to look through like a telescope type deal.
 
I got one off ebay, no light and no digital but I get good consistent readings and it is easy to calibrate. I can think of alot of other things to do with the extra $$.
 
Mine doesn't have a light or digital read either. I wish I knew the brand but it has worn off the case. I have found it easier to read than others I've tried and lucky for me found it for $40 used and recently calibrated.
 
Just checked and mine doesn't have a brand name on it. It came in a blue plastic hinged case with a dropper and mini screw driver for calibration. It says that it is ATC (automatic temp control) for field use and has a model no. of RHS-10ATC. I have the same one. drsfosterandsmith.com sells that model...and I found it weird when I got it and there was no brand on it
