I am not sure about the plants i wanna grow I really likes ones which can attach to drift wood since I have a ton laying around since taking down my 250g. I also want to get a plant which will grow and completley cover the ground like a lawn..

Thanks in advance

Really depends on plants wanted...but anywhere from 2-4 wpg is fine for most plants you would probably end up getting.
Substrate suggestions..
Sand I heard works well, regular old gravel works fine for me though.
c02 set up suggestions..
Also depends on the plants you want. Some dont need extra Co2 enjection at all. Most low light, easier plants are what I am referring to.
filtration suggestions...
Canister, rena like Mg
And links to buy thanks
I buy a lot of stuff nowadays on ebay or aquabid...ceaper imo

As fasr as sand being a good sustrate for growing plants it is not correct? I hear it does not let the roots breath and get nutrients correct? I am best off with eco complete or something like that which has nutrients it.

its fine. i have a sand planted tank and i know many other people with sand. eco might have some trace nutrients but you still still have to add pnk and trace ferts to the water.

Also because sand does not let stuff through like gravel does, there is really no need to go digging through it w/ a gravel vac. You can just hover over the top and that way the plants dont get moved around a lot.

I solved that problem though with a RUGF with my gravel ;)
