mushroom help ?

I bought 1 purple mushroom about a month ago put it on a rock and it attached been doing great.

I woke up yesterday and on the other side of the tank is a small mushroom that is purple.

My mushroom I bought is in the same spot so how is it I have another mushroom how do the multiply split or whatever.

It could have shifted just a bit to frag itself and the new one floated off and attached.

Two possibilities:

- the newly discovered mushroom on the other side of the tank is a previously unnoticed hitch-hiker, or

- the original mushroom expelled some of its mesenterial filaments which made it to the other side of the tank via water flow, attached to the rock and have grown. I've actually had the latter occur in my tank before:

that happend to me.... then i was stupid enough to forget it and redo the rock
squishing the babies in the process...lol

when my shroom curls up you can see there is a new baby :p

thanks for some answers Im going to think it frag itself and it floated to the other side and attached.
