my full grown guppies in that tank are fine and never disturbed, but do i have to wait until the fry are all adults before letting them loose? i have 9-10 fry i am keeping in my net in the tank and they are just developing their side fins and their back fin is growing slightly in size. i feed them crushed up cichlid flakes since i don't have any liquid fry food. they seem to be doing fine, but i know that if i keep them in the net for too long they will start to get stressed. how big do you think i should let them get before releasing them into my tank?

It would depend on the cichlids themselves, as they would determine if the babies would get eaten or not. Also, depending on the amount of hiding places available to the babies to hide if they become a target. I would say that it would be best to move them into another tank to grow up some more, until they are the size of the guppy adults in the tank.

Not telling you what to do, but I had a few guppies in my mbuna tank, for babies but anyway the adults lived fine for quite a while, but eventually they became food IME, it is not good idea to keep them in there if you do not intend for them to be food.

no. i want them as to keep so that they can breed and make food.
