40w PC or 40w T-5? 18"

So I just bought:
40w 18" PC light made by Satellite (Current)
$58 paid


I just found out the same store sells
Nova Extreme T-5 Fixtures 40w 18"
$50



I just found out about these units, and I heard they are better than the PC I bought. Are they better, and why would they be cheaper?

40w t5? huh. those are new. That current fixture is the only one i've seen that small. Hopefully other company will start making smaller t5s too.
but yes, the t5 HOs are better than PCs, even though the NOVA fixture doesnt have the individual reflectors that gives t5s most of their intensity. But I would still choose them over PCs, if i were you.
